DISCLAIMER: Annual CPI adjustment
Under Wis. Stat. § 779.415(1g)(c), the state is required to annually adjust the dollar amounts that may be charged for towing or storing a vehicle identified under par. (a) of Wis. Stat. § 779.415(1g).
If you plan to sell a vehicle back to your company, you must first provide proof that the vehicle was available for public sale. The proof of sale must be sent to the Wisconsin DOT along with the lien transfer form. A sample proof of sale is below which could be displayed on your shop window, Web page, or as a handout.
