Electric vehicles are becoming more prevalent on our roads and highways, which means responders and tow operators will likely have to deal with them more frequently at traffic incidents and in their service shops. But there are growing concerns and issues that arise while recovering and servicing an electric vehicle.
That is why the Wisconsin Towing Association is partnering with EVSafe to provide training seminars this fall to guide and assist tow companies and their staff with the best practices to safely recover, tow and service these vehicles. EVsafe brings real-world expertise and supports responders through specialized training to build awareness when confronted with electric vehicle incidents. Each 3-hour training session:- Covers many aspects of EVs and the transition to electric transport
- Uses a combination of presentation and hands-on
- Helps towers better understand EVs from a responder’s perspective
- Includes qualified instruction and EVs
Seminars will be held in Beloit, Pewaukee and Wisconsin Rapids and lunch will be provided. The discounted rate for WTA members is $25 per person. Non-members will be charged the regular rate of $125 per person. To sign up, please click the button below and choose your seminar location.
